DESIGN YOUR OWN CURVED QUILT (2 - FULL DAYS) |

This creative design workshop starts on paper with a traditional quilt block. On Day One graph paper is used to transform the traditional block into a curved block. Then taking elements from the newly designed curved block, a wallhanging is designed. Next is identifying the curved pieces and how to cut them. Finally, fabric choices are made and cut, then sewing is started using Virginia's unique 'No Pins' sewing technique for circular curves. On Day Two the wallhanging is completed. The workshop is completed be designing a unique original curved border for each students quilt. The Creative Curves 2" or 3" Ruler (circular curves) is used to make the original wallhangings, the Creative Curves Ellipse Rulers (oval curves) may be also be used, if desired.
