The traditional quilt pattern 'Tumbling Blocks' or 'Baby Blocks' is one of Quilters' most loved traditional patterns. Based on a hexagon, this mosaic has been in existance since before the 2nd century. Using depth of color to create shape and change the design emphasis from Stars to Blocks, in this variation Stars are seen against a night sky, then the Star pieces fall into a landscape of Blocks. In this amazingly quick and easily pieced quilt, all the 'Tumbling Blocks' are finished in the workshop.
