Leaping into a night sky from the surface of the quilt, a scrappy cascade of color flows across the surface of this dramatric quilt, creating the effect of an Aurora Borealis of Hoffman "Bali Batik" Stars. Take the rich texture of the Batiks and combine them with the simplicity of a dark or light Background Fabric and this dramatic, yet simple quilt is the result. Inspired by the traditional quilt block '54/40 or Fight', this colorful quilt is amazingly quick and easy to piece with the Creative Curves 2" X 4" Ruler (oval curves). Sewing is easily done with Virginia's unique 'No Pins' sewing technique for oval curves.
