An easy introduction to making "2nd Star From The Right", the '07 IQA Raffle Quilt for the '07 International Quilt Festival, when sewn using Virginia's unique 'No Pins' machine piecing technique. I started designing this smaller quilt variation using the Serpentine Twist Border, which I had created as a dramatic finish to the '07 IQA quilt. I then added Stars and finally a Clamshell center, all elements from the original quilt. While the "2nd Star From The Right" quilt is made using two sizes of the Creative Curves Rulers (4" & 2" circular curves), this quilt can be made with one size of the Creative Curves Rulers (4", 3", 2" and 1 1/2" circular rulers).
