DESCRIPTION The MULT-ANGLE, WEDGE RULER and SAMPLER PATTERN by CREATIVE CURVES (w042R) is a completely different (non-curve) tool for quilters. It will allow you to make blocks and quilts that combine different Angles (wedges), they include the following Angles (degrees); 5, 9, 10, 15, 18, 20, 25, 30, 36, 40, 45, 50, and 60. What is unique to this new tool is the ability to first design an original block or quilt, then using a Chart that gives the size of rectangle or square to cut first, cut the triangles (2 identical triangles per rectangle or square) for the Angle that is desired. Finally using the 'Slots' on the MULT-ANGLE, WEDGE RULER, cut off the point of the triangles. This step turns the triangles into Wedges with the correct 'starting to sew' position and an exact 1/4" seam allowance. The SAMPLER PATTERN booklet that comes with each Ruler has 9 original Blocks plus an additional Pieced Square in the Border. In addition to the booklet of pattern, there is a page of Basic Instructions with extensive graphics showing 'how to' cut and sew with the Ruler and 2 Charts, one for Side Wedges and one for Corner Wedges. While each of the Blocks are 12" finished, the Charts give sizes to make from 2" to 18" finished Squares. This RULER will also make any block or quilt that has half-square triangles in them. Starting in January '09, a series of Free Traditional Patterns will appear in a New page on the website. While I did not include any designs that also include combining the CREATIVE CURVES RULERS (circular curves) or the CREATIVE CURVES ELLIPSE RULERS (oval curves) in the SAMPLER PATTERN, a couple of these will also make an appearance in the new page of Free Patterns.
