Start with a color study of "how to" take a variety of light medium and dark scrap fabrics (48 Hoffman "Bali Batiks") and create a harmonious background. Then change the focus of the quilt with uneven, whirling stars that are made with Primrose Gradations hand-dyed fabrics. The result is this dramatic, yet easily sewn wallhanging with Virginia's unique 'no pins' curved piecing technique for oval curves.
