DESCRIPTION "THROWING IN A CURVE" is the newest curved book and while 'all' of the curved rulers (circular and oval curves) have been used to make the quilts in the book, all but 1 of the 16 patterns can be made with any one of the CREATIVE CURVES RULERS (4", 3", 2", and 1 1/2" - circular curves) and the CREATIVE CURVES ELLIPSE RULERS SET (2" X 4" & 1 1/2" X 3" - oval curves). These patterns are both some of the easiest to make, but they also explore the potential of changing some of the basic quilts all quilter's learn how to make when starting to quilt - but changing them by "THROWING IN A CURVE". Once again, the option to use a different size ruler to make the quilts is given on the inside of the back Cover. Approximately a half of the book is comprised of patterns that use the CREATIVE CURVES RULERS (4", 3", 2" and/or 1 1/2" - circular curves), half of the patterns use the CREATIVE CURVES ELLIPSE RULERS (2" X 4" and 1 1/2" X 3" - oval curves). There is 1 pattern, "Espana", that is made made by combining 2 circular curved rulers (the 2" and 4"). This pattern is the result of visiting the vestments in the Cathedral during a visit to Toledo, Spain. In addition, there are numerous Pieced Borders used in the patterns throughout the book and 2 pages of Border Patterns that show how to make Borders fit different size quilts. This book has extensive graphics showing how to align the rulers to cut the pieces (seam allowances included), a special page of graphics showing "Fabric Saving Techniques" has been added to the basic 'Cutting and Sewing Instructions' section, as well as, several design pages at the end of the book to allow quilters to create their own variations of several of the patterns.
